Here's the thesis for my first contribution to TLT: I have always struggled (as I'm sure most of us do) with the fantasy world that I create for myself and the reality of what life is - for me and for my loved ones, my friends and family. I am fully aware of how lucky I am to be making my living as a singer/songwriter/musician/artist here in this beautiful city of Chicago. I am truly blessed and grateful. However, with my bombastic, negative wiring and upbringing as I was growing up in Cicero, IL as a kid and teenager, I go back in forth in a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde fashion of feeling like God's gift to the world to the opposite extreme of not meeting the standards from the bar that I have raised into the stratosphere... while touching the ground... with cement shoes.

We are 90% sure that it will be a coffee shop tour. The franchise/company is being confirmed as I type this. Once the details are confirmed, you WILL get the news. Stay tuned here and at www.writingtherailstour.com for more info.

Hello!
So, I've never ever been blog-savvy before. But - since I have the option now, might as well.
Welcome to my first blog entry! What to tell you? What to tell you? The main focus is now Writing The Rails. (www.writingtherailstour.com) The Inaugural one happened last December. Went with Theresa Carter (The Local Tourist) to Memphis to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. After expenses, WTR raised $200 for St. Jude's. A meager start - BUT - we did what we set out to do. Establish WTR, play some great venues, make friends and raise money for a very noble cause.
I am pleased to announce that WTR is set to tour to Detroit on Feb. 10 through Feb. 14, 2010! Yes, it is close. However, we have quite a number of gig prospects in as well as a GREAT charity to raise money for. Leah Jones, the founder of Natiiv Arts and Media, just picked up The Friendship Circle as a client. They are a Wonderful organization located in Detroit dedicated to educating and helping [...]
